CRKT 14K - Mt. Rainier Combo Edge

Lager: 1

Sometimes your life depends on the tools you select—tools such as your pitons, ice axe, crampons and knife. Because climbers regard reaching the summits of the 14,000 ft. North American peaks as the pinnacle of achievement, we named this popular line the 14K Summit™ series.
The Long's Peak and Mt. Rainier are the middle size of the series, with 2.875" blades. They are ideal utility knives, large enough to undertake serious cutting tasks.
We began with our powerful InterFrame locking liner construction in an easily cleaned open build, with nickel chrome plated zinc alloy scales featuring an aircraft-style drilled "skeleton" design. Weight is reduced without compromising the exceptional strength. The dual liners are 420J2 stainless steel. Handles are designed with an extended guard, generous size and bead-blast finish to give you extra gripping power. Friction grooves at the lock and on the blade spine improve grip in wet and icy conditions.
The high-carbon, 420J2 stainless steel blades feature a rugged modified drop point shape and bead-blast finish. Blade grinds are engineered to retain maximum thickness at the tip and through the length of the spine. This blade is built for real work. Triple-Point™ Serrations are available on all sizes.
This knife features LAWKS®, the Lake and Walker Knife Safety innovation. LAWKS® sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To engage the safety, push the LAWKS® lever forward. To close the knife, pull the LAWKS® lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position. Double-grooved ambidextrous thumb studs allow you to comfortably open or close the blade with a single, smooth, one-handed motion, aided by the lubrous washers at the blade pivot which guarantee continued smoothness. All fasteners are Torx®, proven superior in initial assembly and owner maintenance, such as tightening the pivot screw for proper blade tension after years of heavy, sustained work loads.
The convenient stainless steel clothing/gear clip is easily removable, attached with three Torx fasteners. In designing this series, we set out to reach the summit of tough, strong folding knives. It's all about excellence and achievement. If you're comparing all-alloy, multipurpose knives, we've set the standard. We trust you'll agree. *U.S. Patent No. 5,596,808

CRKT Carson M4-02 Stag

Lager: 2

So here you have a friendly E.D.C. knife that fits the hand naturally for all kinds of cutting and carving tasks. Like Kit, it's a bit unassuming, but it's a knife you'll come back to year after year. All M4 models have high-mounted pocket/gear clips. The M4™-02S Stag is a deluxe model which has a traditional look with stag scales and brushed stainless steel bolsters, plus our innovative LAWKS®, the Lake and Walker Knife Safety innovation. LAWKS® sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To engage the safety, push the LAWKS® lever forward. To close the knife, pull the LAWKS® lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position.. Our heavy-duty InterFrame build is true to Kit's design, with dual stainless steel liners, one locking, and a stainless steel back spacer. The 3.25" blade is a high-hollow-grind drop point of premium 8Cr13MoV stainless steel in a bead-blast finish with a Razor-Sharp edge.
The OutBurst mechanism instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. M4 models have dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one-hand opening and bronze bearings and lubrous washers at the adjustable blade pivot for smooth, fast action. While we were engineering it, we decided to add some more value by offering our OutBurst® assisted opening, and our patented* LAWKS safety, the Lake and Walker Knife Safety innovation.
The M4™-02S Stag is a deluxe model which has a traditional look with stag scales and brushed stainless steel bolsters. This year we're offering the M4 design in Kit's smaller every day carry (E.D.C.) size. Custom knife maker and Knife makers' Guild member Kit Carson is widely known for his M16® design, which we offer in many CRKT production models. But since 1990, Kit's most consistent selling custom model has been his classic M4™. In his usual unassuming manner, Kit says, "I guess you'd say it's my flagship custom. It's simple, with form following function. No tricks that look slick but aren't worth a flip in your hand. I've made many variations on it, from exotic collectibles to working tacticals, in maybe 20 versions. But I still get more and more calls to make the M4."
